A Pathfinder Project for Information Sources and ServicesThis is a guide that will focus on the areas of hiking, camping, and backpacking in the state of Indiana. All of the resources that are listed will provide information about a variety of outdoor activities. In addition to print and electronic resources a listing of outdoor organizations is being provided to help you in locating other people that have an interest in the outdoors. This Pathfinder has been designed for new Indiana residents and people who are thinking about visiting and or moving to the state These are people that already have an interest in the outdoors, but need help finding information about their particular area of interest. Many people think of Indiana as a state that does not have much to offer in outdoor recreation. The goal is to provide several different resources to educate people about some of the recreational opportunities that the state of Indiana has to offer. The majority of these sources will be found throughout the libraries at Indiana University-Bloomington campus. There are three books listed that are located at other IU campuses that can be easily transferred to Bloomington via interlibrary loan and vice versa. The Monroe County Public Library was not included as part of this Pathfinder; however they do have an excellent collection of books that can be consulted for more information. Compiled by Patrick J.
